@Christina107 Is your Dad on insulin shots or an insulin pump? If not then he is type 2 not type 1. The only treatment for type 1 is insulin (which is only available by prescription) whereas type 2's can take pills, control by diet, or take insulin. I have had type 1 diabetes since the age of 9 (I am almost 31 now). My dad has type 2, he started out on pills but is now on insulin. If you have any questions please feel free to send me an e-mail.

Fanned! :) My dad really could use this. He was recently diagnosed with type I and cant afford to go to the dr so to be able to at least keep an eye on his levels would help tremendously. :) Watching for sure!

great i hope you win i wasnt diagnosed but got it because i didnt feel right so i figured out i had extremely low blood sugar i found ways to counter act it win i feel that why and thought someone esle could benefit from this i got a kit that came with test strips but i used them all figuring out what i needed to do when i didnt feel good it comes with a card to get discounts on strips and other stuff though good luck
