FREE: 1946 FDC First Day Cover Stamp Iowa Statehood

The winning bidder will receive this really nice 1946 United States issue First Day Cover (FDC) Stamp. This particular FDC honors the Centennial of Iowa's Statehood. If you look closely at the photo you will see that the date has been postmarked Aug. 9, 1946 which is the date that this 3 cent stamp went into public circulation. Also, please note the lovely color photo on the left, which is still pretty vibrant for being from 1946. Envelope is unaddressed.

As I do not collect FDCs, this one came to me via a large stamp horde that we uncovered at a local antique store. This would make a great collectors item for anyone that is into collecting Iowa memorabilia or FDCs.

As with all of my auctions, I will ship this out for free. I will, however, only ship to the United States and only to those addresses that are Listia verified - NO EXCEPTIONS!
