Description

The listing, Spider Plant a.k.a. Airplane Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) Live Starters - great housewarming gift! has ended.

Due to customs regulations, live plants are not supposed to be shipped across U.S. borders. Winner will receive 2 variegated (green with white central stripe) spider plant babies rooted in peat starters. They are one of the first plants most beginners try. They are so popular because they are easy to grow, have very few problems. They are very good at taking pollutants out of indoor air and adding oxygen.
Thanks for looking.

SHIPPING
Free USA Shipping - will include delivery confirmation
I try my best to carefully pack your item(s) so that it will arrive safely at your specified destination. Shipping date will depend on weather conditions for your area. It is preferred to ship live plants at temperatures of 50 degrees or above. I will be vigilant of the forecast when shipping this item.
Thank you.

CONTACT ME
I may be reached preferably though Listia messaging. You may go to my store website by googling HighDesertSmokeShop, and check it out. I also list cool things on eBay under the seller name HighDesertSmoke

RECYCLE
I try my best to reuse all my boxes, bags, and fillers. Please try to do the same. Fact: Each ton (2000 lbs) of recycled paper we produce can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy, and 7000 gallons of water. This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution!

Consider it done... I love all green plants that fill up the living room and kitchen. Unfortunately, I don't do as well with the herbs, but I'm trying. *^_^*

Neat! I killed my last spider plant...maybe I would have better luck next time? I live in Mi though, and it is probably too cold. Are spider plants supposed to be a hearty plant?

I would ship via Priority Mail on a Monday to gaurantee that the plants would not set in a freezing warehouse for an entire weekend. By shipping Priority Mail, it gaurantees a 3-day shipping time. I would most certainly be aware of the weather forecast of the winner, before sending. I guarantee the plants to arrive alive and healthy.

The current auctions that I have listed with free shipping may be the last...
Unfortunately my webstore is not making the sales needed to feed my family and pay the bills. I have offered free shipping for more items than I can afford to here on Listia. I will not be able to offer more great items and/or free shipping without making actual sales in my store or on Ebay. For this, I apologize. If you want to see more from me here, please take the time to share links to my store and/or ebay with your Facebook friends and Twitter followers. The best advertising is word-of-mouth. Even if you may not be interested in the items offered, you may have a friend that would be interested **if they knew about it**.
Thanks for taking the time to read this comment.

Yes, I certainly can. If you win, I would keep track of the forecast for your area as well as mine, most definitely ship by Priority Mail on a Monday to guarantee it's arrival before the end of that week, so as the plants would not be left in a freezing warehouse over a weekend to die. They are fabulous plants. However, if you are still unsure, you are welcome to watch my listings, as I will certainly be listing more of these plants through the spring. I leave the choice up to you, but I most definitely gaurantee winner satisfaction, no matter where you live *^_^*

Hey, everybody! I love that Listia offers a "like" button for auctions. I gladly "like" auctions, because it shares it with all of my friends. The more exposure we get here on Listia, the more people that sign up. The more people selling and buying, the more cool stuff for us to get our hands on for just the cost of credits and occassional shipping cost. Not a bad plan! Please "like" the auctions that you like, so we get more Listians! Thanks!

For my friends and watchers, I found an awesome auction to pair this with:
http://www.listia.com/auction/1438957
It's a glass watering sphere, so that watering your new plants won't be a hassle!

watching and fanned, will be watching for the next few sets or singles as I love spider plants. Growing up in the 70's my aunt had these hanging from her ceiling with the long legs stretched all over!! They remind me of my childhood and are wonderful plants even for a blackthumb like me!!!

lol, Your comment made me smile! I remember those days, with the green carpet, orange kitchen chairs, etc. It takes me back... I love green plants around the house. I'm sure you're not a total blackthumb, lol. If that is the case though, you'll need to find one of those glass water things that you stick into the pot. Then you'll be all set... Thanks for looking and the comment. *^_^*

Can you ship to California, or is it too restrictive to ship live plants here?
Feb 11th, 2011 at 9:16:37 PM PST by
Original
I'll ship to CA, it shouldn't be a problem at all. I should have no problems shipping anywhere within the continental U.S.

Hi I've fanned you, pls fan back.. also how would you usually ship this?
Feb 22nd, 2011 at 5:43:29 AM PST by
Original
It will be secured in a plastic bag to hold in moisture and packed carefully with newspaper to protect and insulate. They will be shipped Priority Mail to insure 2-3 day delivery, usually best to ship on a Monday so it doesn't sit in a cold post office or warehouse over the weekend.
Thanks for fanning!

Watching and fanned you we got our apartment in June and we moved in just as my step mom's spider plant died so i hope i'll end up with enough credits to get 1 for my apartment to bring some color to this place our landlord wont let us paint and i'm tired of stairing at walls that remind me of a hospital...

Shredded newspaper helps protect in colder temp. I recieve all my live plants & starts in the center of shredded newspaper. Many newspaper offices will give you there old newspapers if you explain what you want it for. Newspaper also helps support in one place and they are delivered in great shape. Nice aucton you have. I have fanned you

Well, I made the auction time long enough for bidders to get their stuff listed and sold to get enough credits together for bidding. I also have about 30 "babies" rooted. So don't fret if you don't win this pair, I may list a single one sometime very soon, and definitely more of them through the spring. Good luck!
