Description

The listing, hand drawn / painted picture of Eeyore has ended.

I was so happy that others were interested enough in my other two drawings to actually bid, that I thought I would try and press my luck again! :-)

This is an 8-1/2"x11" picture of Eeyore that I drew on tracing paper (no, it's not traced - it is drawn freehand) and then painted with acrylic paints. I have found that using these paints on tracing paper gives my drawings a unique look.

This would be nice in a child's room or, if you're a kid at heart, in your own room...

I can draw pretty much any cartoon, so if you have something that you would like, message me and I'll see what I can do for you.

You do very nice work! I'm also an artist - Pastel- Southwest, Portraits and contemporary.
You do a very nice cartoon style; an art in itself! Have you looked into illustrating children's books? I would bet it would be very profitable...

Just and added note-- I would like to see a "subcategory" " Paintings & Drawings"
or "Original Art" -- What you and I do isn't "Knitting" or "scrapbooking" or "crocheting" etc -- let's email Listia and ask them to add this category ---- Maybe people would find us easier!

You're right... the first picture I listed, I had the hardest time trying to decide what category to list it in. I think I will send them a note. Who knows, maybe they'll listen...

Very nice work!!! I saw this website where the person paints a picture on plain wallpaper and sells the picture for ppl to put on their childrens wall and looks like it is painted right on the wall, your work is SO MUCH BETTER!!! You might look into that, I bet it would go CRAZY HIGH on here!!! Good luck!!!

Your work is beautiful! My media are oils and acrylics and in flowers or landscapes--learned from Gary Jenkins and Bob Ross, but I've never done anything like this. This is amazing!

Thank you so much for the kind words. I've never heard of Gary Jenkins, but I know and love Bob Ross! My girlfriend and I have actually been trying our hand at some Ross-style paintings. Our first attempt - not so good... but we are blaming it on inferior paints! :-) I've since bought some original Bob Ross paints, so we won't have that excuse to fall back on with out next attempt... you should list some of your work...

Gary Jenkins was on PBS like Bob Ross but he mostly did really gorgeous flowers. His were just as great as Georgia O'Keeffe's flowers and some were in a similar style. He wore a big cowboy hat and trashed art critics for having stupid "rules." He always said "It's your world; paint it the way you want it." in a similar vein to Bob Ross' "We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents." Not to discourage you because good quality paint is important, but the techniques in Bob's painting are more important than the paint. I have used some of his information with acrylics and the effect is not exactly the same but it is still nice. Some of his stuff just takes a tremendous amount of practice--you have to paint a little every day to keep it up. Times when I have not been able to do that I have noticed a difference in my work. From the looks of Eyeore, I would say you have nothing to worry about. I keep getting outbid but I keep bidding!

I just think this is great artwork and I love to be able to say I talked to the artist online when people asked where I got something.

Can you do zombie art by any chance?
Feb 21st, 2011 at 11:59:55 AM PST by

zombie art? Not sure... probably not. I've never been any good at drawing if it wasn't a cartoon. I'm trying my hand a drawing Saint Michael the Archangel right now. If that comes out OK.. I'll see what I can do on zombies. Anything special you have in mind?

You really do some great work. Maybe I will get the courage up to offer some of mine. I agree Listia needs to offer and artwork section. I also think they need to break up the book section as well.
