Description

The listing, Vintage Skeleton Key (Free Shipping) has ended.

While I really don't want to part with any of my keys, my husband continually calls me a hoarder and I have felt this one "distancing" itself from me. (I think it's calling someone else.) Every key I have had I found and thoroughly felt and inspected before I purchases them. I have had a fascination for old keys since I was 7 or 8 years old. I have worn one around my neck for the last ten years. (Not the one pictured.) But it has been my reminder that I have the key to all doors and to open and to close in my life.

I will not post this one put a GIN on this one because I feel it is not for the fastest or highest credited bidder. This key is looking for it's owner. I will post this up with as many days as possible so that the new owner has amble time it collect credits if they current do not have enough. Shipping will also be FREE Because this is lost to be found!

Just like all my other auctions....
TIP: If you win multiple listings and they are small enough to fit in one package all together I will combine/reduce shipping costs. For example If you win up to 5 items instead of pay $15 for shipping it will be only $3-$4.50. If you win 5 and used GIN to win one Free shipping for all! (Must be to one address and fit in one package)

All items won will be shipped on Wednesday or Thursday regardless of the day the auction ends. Please be sure to provide me with a Listia confirmed address before Wednesday to insure proper delivery time.

Please bid only if you want this item and are willing to pay shipping if you don't use the GIN! It is not fair to others. I will keep the credits BLOCK you from my future auctions. Please, I don't like blocking people, bid because you want it.

I will only accept PAYPAL for shipping payments.

Keys are great! Especially the old ones I love to fantasize about what they were use for and who owned them first.

I have this same key, what is it???? I found it when I rented a house built in the 40's on a rafter in the basement, the whole house still had skeleton key doors or locks except for the main entrance. It's really thick isn't it? The ones you can buy at the store nowadays are crap and they break. Thanks for listing this.

I'm not sure what these keys were used for. It is very thick compared to modern keys. thought this one might have been for a trunk, chest or some sort of furniture because of how simple the bottom is.

The one I have that is similar works on a very large armoire from the 1940s. I am hoping this will work as a duplicate in case I ever lose the original that came when I bought it at the antique store.
