This vintage plaster or gesso over wood picture frame is gold gilt and Matte moss or olive green which also has what looks to be canvas or canvas type material on the inside border.. The decoration is a graceful scalloped or flower burst design on the outer border. The outside dimensions are 16 1/4" X 20 1/4" X 1 1/4 thick. The inside dimensions are 13 1/4 X 9 1/4 would probably the picture size. The outside has a bronze colored gilt on it I suppose but the inside has Gold gilt trimming around the area that would outline the picture.


There's a little bit of scuffing and wear to the gilt finish at the outside edges and corners. The back is marked MADE IN USA and has a number 2456 and two other number that I can't figure out. It also has a sticker on the paper that's left which says TURNER MFG.CO.-CHICAGO and the name of the picture that came out of it, which I still have and will send with it.. There are some flakes and chips to the plaster at the edges and corners.
