Description

The listing, Vintage WOW Talking Mother Goose Worlds of Wonder 1986 has ended.

This is a Vintage Antique Toy 1986 Gorgeous Worlds of Wonder WoW Talking Mother Goose Like The Talking Teddy Ruxpin made by the same company! She has her original bow and bonnet, But I DO NOT have the talking Mother Goose cassette, batteries or books. So the working is UNKNOWN whether eyes open or mouth moves due to the fact I don't have the cassette or batteries. It does however have some corrosion in the battery area but I don't know if that will interfere with anything. as soon as I get bateries I'll see what happens and IF it has already been bid on I'll just post it in the comment section. I takes 4 "C" batteries.

The 8 bucks is because of the shape of the box and her weight. IT WON'T FIT in a FLAT RATE BOX SO DON'T ASK, nad I don't have funds for free shipping right now, sorry.

I've got two of these Mother Goose robots that my Mom gave my girls and I have a few of the tapes. The tapes are programed to get Mother Goose to talk and move her head and open and close her eyes. Ty useing some baking soda on the the battery contacts with a little vineager to clean the contacts. That will also clean the contacts. These are great to entertain kids and are the earliest robots put on the market.

thanks a million I'll try that, but will wetting the connectors mess up something? oh never mind as I was typing this I thought about just using a q-tip. I just figured I'd leave the question I had just in case someone else was wondering the same thing, lol? then they'd know I will use a q-tip.

how bad is the battery compartment corrosion?

well to me it's not that bad, but you may think outwise. I'm still going to get batteries and try to see what happens, I'll post it or add it if it hasn't been bidded on yet. I'll try to get a picture of it too.

I can't put pictures of it but there are 2 out of 4 prongs that have a light green color on them, it's not too thick I was actually able to scrap some off. My husband said if someone used an emeryboard( his word was sand paper, lol) and rubbed those prongs it should be ok. I STILL haven't gotten those batteries yet, I try tomorrow. That's the only thing I can do since I don't know anything else about it.

as long as you don't get the liquid down in Mother Goose herself, it won't hurt anything. But baking soda won't work. That green residue is an alkaline - not an acid. You have to neutralize the alkaline with an acid. Vinegar will work, but then you neutralize that with baking soda. Mixing the baking soda and vinegar like wyomingdreamer suggested will actually defeat the purpose as the two will just neutralize each other...

so what do I do Besides trying to clean them with an emery board? will just vinegar work and then put the baking soda After it's done the job?
