Description

The listing, large lot of Vintage Compacts has ended.

The names have some I can't read but the one with blue stone has COTY on the powde puff, can't read all the stuff on the bottom, the largest mother of pearl lokking one has JAPAN; the square one with the spider web back and red designs on front says DU-BARRY RICHARD HUDNUT MADE IN USA;REVLON on the one with the Paisley design;the one with the green background and the mother of pearl flower has _PACA _EXICO (I know the exico word is Mexico but don't know what the other is);DOROTHY GRAY LTD DISTRIBUTOR NEW YORK is on the back of the one with the white DG overlapping. And that's it.

I think she's saying one is a calling card holder. For the elegant lady...or gentleman. They are beautiful but I'm already out before I even bid...lol. Gotta list more...

Calling cards were used to announce the lady or gentleman generally given to a servant to ask if the person should be shown in. Small like 2" X 1 1/2"

great thanks, I actually had a perdon on one of my items about a month ago start rambling off which LOTS of racial slurs that would definately offend someone. I REPORTED him/her and now they are gone. This person on the compacts I just blocked, she/he is more silly than offensive.

hey everybody, the one with the blue dot/stone is on ebay (one like this one rather) and you can find out about it from this link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290343407463&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Here is some of what it says in case you're not comfortable clinking on links (me either).

a really cool vintage blusher compact from Tangee, in Red Red, probably from the 1950's. It is only 1.5" in diameter and goldtone, with a blue cabochon on the top. There is some wear and a few tiny stains on the metal, but these may be cleanable. I think it's just lovely! It is in nice vintage condition
