It is a internal cup that you wear during your menstrual cycle that collects your flow. You change it every 12hrs but taking it out, dumping it, rinsing it out and reinserting it (: google lunette menstrual cup or meluna menstrual cup for more info.

Oh wow. I haven't used a cup (mine was Diva Cup) in forever! I stopped getting my period after being on Mirena for a while. A menstural cup is definitely what I prefer over pads or tampons any day!
