yes DIY means it's a blank as you see, no extra decorations or lace or ribbons, just as shown. it's nice by itself too, has the wide soft frilly lace and a slit for holding in the back plus the tie on front. DIY means you add your own stuff, like beans, more lace, a name, things like that....
