That connector is for a joy stick before they went to the USB version.

not sure what it is for i can tell u this it is a creative labs surround sound it the gold standard for basic sound support for 32 bit systems should work with os xp win 7 or 8 dont know long this seller has had it but it came with a 5 year limited warranty this card can cause 64 bit systems to carsh just to slow will work great in the old dell optiplex mini towers will not fit the slim

Greetings, This came out of an old system a friend of mine had. It is an older card but should work well with 32-bit systems. I was using it for a while in Linux Mint and it did fine. Just thought someone might be able to use it as opposed to my recycling it. Thanks, Gary

lutherharris47 You can put any sound card, weather it be a soundblaster or any audio card in any 32 or 64 bit system. (windows me, 2000, XP, 7, or 8) It will not crash! Where you got that information is beyond me. Pcie,pci,vga or dvi motherboards that accept the card will work.
