72 piece 5"x5" Fabric Charm lot. All cotton and cotton blends.

Your Choice from among the Purples & Greens I have available. Or I can make you up a lot...of all one color family, or a mix to fit your preferences.

Only one lot of this sort (of these particular charms pictured) will be up at a time so that everything shown is available to choose from, and I will edit photos when I put up future lots to show any patterns that are no longer available.

Shipping is Free within the US.

A "charm pack" typically, yes, though I have seen many retail with multiples of each design. But with that in mind, I'll remember to not ever term a lot as a "pack" so I don't confuse anyone :) And the idea behind a charm quilt is to have a random scattering of squares of fabric designs, none alike if possible. But an individual charm, itself, is a small square, average 5" but varying. I just don't know why the term was chosen for the cut.

why are they called charms? I'm obviously not a sewing person, but my daughter is and would be interested in the cut squares

Honestly, I have never found an explanation for the origin of the term. Plenty of information about trends and uses for them, but no one ever seems to think of explaining why they are called charms. So besides guesses within the context, I really can't say :/

The winner gets to pick exactly what they want from what patterns are shown, within the allowance of the amount of charms I have of each. If you want 56 of the fuscha swirly design (top left in the purples) then I have enough. If you want 23 of a pattern I only have 12 of, you can only have 12 of them and only 12 (exactly what you have chosen) goes towards the total of 72 squares. :)

I do *have* a few fat quarters...either pieces that just happened to be the right size, or the first few I did cut before deciding I just didn't care for doing it...so I'll need to cut some more to try to make a matching mini-set or something... So eventually I will have a fat quarter small lot or two up.
