In the photo, the word "Forever" is crossed out and the date is 2012... I read when Forever stamps first came out back in 2007 that if the word "Forever" is crossed out, that the stamp would not increase in value when postage rates rise, but would hold the value of a stamp from the year printed on it, in this case, 2012. So I'm wondering if the photo is a stock photo and not a photo of what the winner gets? Thanks for the clarification!
This is just a stock photo, the roll of stamps that the winner gets will be brand new and usable. the word forever will not be crossed out. the stamps will retain their value and be good forever, you will never need to add postage to them they will increase as the postage increases so now they are worth $0.49 each if postage increases they will increase in value. hope this answers your question. thank you for asking.
