Just FYI...too much light! Turn off flash and put item under a light. Works much better.

Thanks! I'll try that. I have some turn out real nice with macro and others don't. I tried some of those with flash and without and didn't have much luck but will try the site you mentioned. Thanks!

Is any of the goldtone worn off in spots? I'd like this for a gft for a friend who love purple, but it must look new. ??? Sorry, had to ask!

No, actually, it looks pretty good to me - I don't see any places where it is worn off. It looks new to me. Does not come with a necklace. The gold ring is small so it would need a small chain or a larger ring. I added 2 more pictures that still aren't as good as I would like but better than the first one. The 2nd picture probably shows it best as you can see more of the purple color. Hope you bid on it!
