Description

The listing, Mixed Colors of Scrap Stained Glass & Crash Glass for Mosaic Art or Other Crafts has ended.

Due to illness I no longer teach mosaic or fused glass art & have considerably more supplies than I will ever use. If you create mosaic art or glass on glass or have ever wanted to this is your lucky day!

I am starting this auction with 2# of mixed glass. If the starting bid is 600 or more I will make that 4#. Both stained & crash glass are included. For each 4 fans & each bid I will add another 1/4# of glass. UPDATE~DUE TO THE KINDNESS OF MY FIRST COMMENTERS (don't know if I can name them) I AM NOW STARTING THE AUCTION AT 5#!!!! Please bid accordingly.

Scrap glass ranges in size from dime size up to around 8x5. It comes in all kinds of colors, designs & textures. Crash glass is recycled glass I made from old shower doors. It's in small pieces all I have left is clear. Very easy to use, can be painted with spray paint, used over a photo, painted item or many other unique ways. The gazing ball with the butterfly in the photos was done with spray painted crash glass.

Since this is my first auction you are welcome to check my feedback on my former Etsy shop, just search for Stuff From the Bunker.

Please note the finished items in the photos are not included in the auction, they are simply there as examples of what can be made from this glass.

Please let me know if you fan me and I will be pleased to do the same for you. If you have any questions, comments post away.

Shipping is free to the US. In order to include my Canadian friends I'm sorry but I must include $5 shipping fee towards the total. Glass is heavy. I will include delivery confirmation on all mailed packages. All Listia rules apply, if I have misunderstood any causing me to break one in this listing please point it out to me gently.

Happy bidding and may each day be creative~~~
Deborah

Thank you, I love zentangle, it is s wonderful stress reliever and helps so much with my pain. You just get in a zone when you do it. I incorporate it in my fused glass and jewelry design. Will check yours out for sure. I have all kinds of beautiful tangles on my pinterest board and always looking for more inspiration. Fanning you.

Well hello Deborah, I am a fellow lover of the stained glass medium myself. I have much in common with you besides sharing the same first name. lol You see due to some health challenges of my own, I have had to slow way down in the studio as well. But, I do agree wholeheartedly with what donnaewingchatfield said, God always gives u something better. When He closes one door He will open another. I like to make little stain glass jewelry boxes, business card holders, candle holders, nightlight and vases. Now I am learning how to use a airbrush eraser and etch glass and mirrors. Do you have any of the larger pieces of glass suitable for these type of projects?

Well hello Deborah, great to meet another with such a great name. Sorry to hear you also have health issues, it's no fun. I've been home bound for over 4 months this round, unable to walk from the house to the Studio without help. My poor husband does all the cooking, cleaning and takes wonderful care of me. I am so blessed.
I have learned to do my jewelry making, art journals and other art work laying down but I do miss my studio. A lot of my time is spent on Pinterest planning all the he things I will do as soon as I can.
I don't do traditional stained glass, but I do have shelves and shelves of sheet glass, I don't live far from Kokomo Glass Factory and use to go there often.
Sorry, I'm just blabbering on. Look forward to hearing from you again and fanning you back.

I live in Canada, but I'm sure it would cost way too much for shipping, so I better not bid. Too bad, this is my favourite auction on all of Listia. Good luck on your auction :) I am just starting out with mosaic's because it looks so beautiful. Can you recommend any good websites? Thx . Hoping you are feeling good today.

I am not sure what the shipping to Canada would be on this amount of glass. I am going to list more auctions, I will just plan them out better and include affordable options for Canada. What part of Canada do you live in? We actually spent part of our honeymoon there with mosaic friends from Canada and the US for a get together so I might be able to put you in touch with friends to get scrap glass.

The system won't let me update this late in the auction so wanted to let you all knoe. as long as its not against the rules and no one objects, since so many people have asked about sheet glass the winner of the auction can choose between the mosaic glass and sheet glass for stained glass unless someone objects or tells mr this is against the rules.

I thought I had Thanked you for this auction but anyway. I don't know how to do stain glass but would love to learn. I only work summers on the Salmon River road so Winters are free. I Quilt, bead, scrapbook, and work a lot with flowers. I Love your work. I put you on a prayer line. My cousin is a minister so I ask her and she ask me. We don't do names. God knows who we want to pray for. You are truly lovely and it shows:) I have had 4 back surgeries just to be able to walk but not free of pain. Thank-You for this auction. You are a Blessing. Thanks Angel Wings to wrap you with Healing:)))

We have a lot in common both creatively and our love for the Lord. I don't do stained glass, just don't enjoy it with all the rules but I can help you if you need it. I also enjoy the upcycled aspect of mosaic art that isn't possible with stained glass. Being able to reuse items that would otherwise end up in the landfill has always been a big part of all my art and a fun challenge. Not to mention a great way to save money.;-)

I just got out to the Studio.to take more photos. Have been down due to pain the past few days, that's the big reason I can't teach anymore. This suction is for mosaic size glass. I do have shelves full of sheet glass and tools, grinders and saws but it will depend on how this one goes if I list here or not. Going to update now.

This is all kokomo stained glass so and float glass so it does not have a standard COE. I do fuse it using the 90/10 rule with great success, no stress. Only blue, green and red streakie don't fuse well. Float glass fuses into very interesting ways.
As soon as I get to the Studio to take photos I will list some fusible glass, do you have a preference of COE? I also have a nice selection of slag glass.
