looks like my garage, full of laptop parts and laptops, just the other day i got tired of looking at a dell inspiron 1501 laptop , in perfect working order nothing wrong with it, but i was feeling destructive, So i grabbed it went outside, & it became best friends with a 10lb sledge hammer :-) That was the highlight of my day.

Is ONLY the hard drive & cord missing? Do you know the model number (on bottom probably). I have one but there is damage to the shell, trying to see if this would be compatable.

To address a question by Gizmofiddler -- If I wanted to fix this computer

It would be nice to know what operating system was installed at factory

Granted it may not come with a Hard Drive ~~ But Win 7 better than XP

And if it were fixed I could use the Product Key to validate the Win 7

Plus the fact that a Win 7 computer is not classified as " An Old Computer"

so if we have a power cord and hard drive with os will it work? everybody is wondering about that and also what is inside it (like what processor, ram amount, you know usual stuff that you look for when looking at computers)

I don't really know about computer but I know I hooked it up with my buddy and it came on when he put the hard drive in and the cord
