Royal Treasures Handcrafted Wooden Treasure Box
with Brass Decor Contains Frankincense & Myrrh nuggets which emit a lovely fragrance.
This is a very unique piece.

Frankincense and Myrrh have been highly esteemed since ancient times.
Travelling by camel caravan and sea, these Royal Treasures burned in the temples of ancient Babylon, Egypt, Rome, India, and China. Frankincense and Myrrh have long been considered more valuable than gold because of their scent and medicinal qualities. The Queen of Sheba offered them to King Solomon in the tenth century BC. The Three Wise Men presented gold, Frankincense and Myrrh to the Christ Child. Melchior selected gold for riches, Caspar chose Frankincense for peace, and Belthazar offered Myrrh for healing and comfort. Frankincense (yellow) and Myrrh (brown) are fragrant gum resins obtained from Oriental trees found only in Oman, Yemen and East Africa. The resins exude as juices that harden to form teardrops when incisions are made in the trunks of the trees and the resins are exposed to air.

It has been said, that the waters flowing from the spring, deep inside the original Capricorn, were the waters from the fountain of life immortal. Whoa, I've had one of these for years! It sits on my entertainment center. I got mine back in the mid 90s from a mail order catalog. I can't remember which one but it specialized in spiritual and religious items.
