My lap top is messing up so maybe the color may be off, but I do think it's beautiful. My Husbands birthstone is yellow, so that's all the more reason I want it. lol! Thanks for letting me know ~Lisa~

Yes it absoultely is Citrine is yellow quartz the majority of Citrine comes from Brazil but what I didnt know is that a majority of citrines available today are actually heat treated amethysts because a good deal of amethyst crystals turn golden when heated , apparently it is not uncommon in Brazilian mining towns to see an array of brownish amethysts scattered on rooftops to let the heat of the sun naturally alter their color but only trained gemologists can accurately evaluate signs of heat treatment therefore I cannot tell you in all honesty the life story of this citrine I hope I answered your question thank you KM

I would ask a jeweler I dont see why not make sure to tell them it is gold filled NOT plated .Gold fill can last a lfetime compared to plating .Feel free to do your homework on that :-)
