The listing, 1865 Three Cent Nickel ★1st Year Issue ★ VERY NICE! ~Read History of This Coin~ has ended.

For your consideration is this 1865 Three Cent Nickel. This is a first year issue. Please grade the coin yourself. It's a beautiful coin in beautiful condition!
These coins were only minted for 25 years. It was created the last year of the civil war due to massive hoarding of silver coinage which occurred during civil war years of 1861-1865 which ultimately resulted in the majority of US silver coinage disappearing from circulation. The US Treasury solution was to mint non-silver coinage which wouldn't be hoarded and would remain in circulation.

Thanks for your concern....Right now they're in the process of transferring him to a specialty heart hospital in Raleigh....suppose to be the best doctor and cardiac unit in the state so I feel some relief. I ran home to pick-up a few things for him and print a Mapquest since I've never been to Raleigh before. He's spoiled me so bad that I don't even know how to use the GPS but do know how to get instructions from Mapquest....How it's my turn to take care of him....

Thanks for your interest and I've returned the favor of your fan.
I'm very sorry...Unfortunately we've had very poor experiences mailing internationally and have had to make the decision to confine our shipping/mailing to the US and it's territories for the following reasons:
1 - Cost of postage is too high
2 - Delivery Confirmation is not available
3 - Customs Forms
4 - Have to wait 20 days to receive credits for high ending auctions

Before people open their mouth and make ridiculous statements, they need to get their facts straight FIRST. I once had respect for sdh but his goofy claim that the only reason the Three Cent Nickel was minted was because of the new postage rate is totally ludicrous! First of all, the ONLY place I've found such a goofy statement is Wikipedia....ANYONE can go to Wikipedia and make any ridiculous claim they so choose to make!

My information comes from reputable "Respected" sources. These sources are "The Official Red Book" and NGC. There are actually other "reputable" and "respected" sources as well, and Wikipedia is NOT one of them!

Hi, I have a question. It has nothing to do with your auction, all thoug I am bidding on it. I won a auction where I have to pay shipping. Can you tell me how I get the shipping cost to the seller? I never had to pay shipping before. Thanks for any help!!!! Rich
Mar 7th, 2014 at 5:50:53 AM PST by
Original
Not a problem AreJay!....Just contact the seller through a private message from the auction link that you won. If the seller doesn't specifically mention the terms of payment, the seller must accept any form you choose to make....such as PayPal, money order, concealed cash etc. Good sellers always notify the winner and tell them how to remit payment. If the seller doesn't respond to you within 7 days from the close of the auction with either his/her mailing address or PayPal email, you should file a dispute from the auction link. You can actually file a dispute within 3 or days after the auction ends but Listia gives them 7 days to provide into which is why I would wait until day 7....If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask and I'll help anyway I can.

kodieannsma29, I think I know what you're referring to regarding the "little red dollar sign". Are you perhaps referring to the white "S" inside the dark hot pink badge shaped symbol? If so, that's what Listia refers to as a "Trusted Sellers Badge".....meaning that that seller has a record or providing good product descriptions, timely shipping, and good customer satisfaction.
