The listing, GATEWAY LAPTOP has ended.

This is a working gateway laptop , with hard drive recently rebooted with windows 7 . I don't think it runs very fast with 7 installed . I would downgrade to vista Xp. It's has slight damage to the screen case , I included a picture , it has no web cam . It does not have a good battery , it has to stay plugged in to the charger . Other than those two things it is a great work computer , watch movies it does have cd Rom , write disks, watch DVDs , a great starter computer for a child .

Nice Auction!!! Fanning and watching! Windows 7 and older seem to run rather slowly on older pc's, Installing Windows 8 (which is possible) would make this PC run like a champ. It's got plenty of RAM and a fast enough processor to meet compatibility requirements. Installing more RAM would be a rather waist of $. That is just my opinion as a PC technician.

It has been a beast of a computer for my friend and he had zero issues with it his the whole time he was in college , he was trying to upgrade it so he could pass it on to his nephew for school but at the time it didn't run very fast , it updated last night and it's working a lot better

I'm watching a full length movie on YouTube right now and it is completely loaded and playing fine , it's not hd or anything but it is working fine .

I cant bid on it because I don't have enough credits but I have an M 357 gateway and I upgraded it from vista to 7 I won it on listia and it is one of the best computers Ive had I had to Upgrade the harddrive to 320 gigs and upgraded the ram to 4 gigs and replaced the keyboard because it was warped but the ram and harddrive I won on listia for it and bought the keyboard on Ebay put less than 20 dollars in it and have a great computer

Wow that is great that you were able to build one from listia parts ! Sorry I took so long to respond , it decided it needed to update ! But it says.. intel(r) m CPU 430@173ghz. I hope that helps !

Right on, it just updated windows and it's a lot faster , it's loading web pages in seconds now , and YouTube videos are loading completely . Best update ever for this machine ! So it's better than it was !

windows 7 does that it does get slow and the more it updates the faster it gets but fixing to be nomore suport for windows 7 this year sometime they are going to quit suporting it soon

I'm just interested in being able to use it as a second computer to watch tv, Netflix, etc. on while I work. I have wifi from a cable modem that works great with my other devices. Do you think this will suffice? That's really all I want!

the specs could be wrong look in the computer properties and it will tell you what size hard drive
