Turquoise can be tested by placing small amount of cleaning product or cream on stone and rub it in, if it's fake the color should lighten or come off. Other fakes are plastic which clearly are not stone and could be tested by touch, if plastic it will warm up after touch . Real turquoise have a cool feel to them.
