Description

The listing, HARLEY DAVIDSON ZIPPO LIGHTER-OLD has ended.

Made in USA, Old Harley Davidson Lighter w/Eagle on front.Zippo stamp on bottom and Bradford Pa., made in USA.It is not working and I bought it at a swap meet years ago with intentions of shipping to Zippo Co., for repair or replacement. I was told they do it free because they have a lifetime warranty. I never got around to it. All Listia rules apply and winner must have verified address for me to ship it.No refunds or buyers remorse.

Yes, my hubby has Diabetes, and has holes in both feet that have not healed in over a year now. Hate to have to get rid of it, but, gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

So sorry to hear that. I haven't ridden my bike in over a year due to my back problems. But I just got out of the hospital last week after surgery so my riding days look bright :-)

Do you have any idea what year it was made? Or what the markings are to the right of the zippo trademark?

Once you get below 1999 then goes to Roman numerals and then different formats using /// \\\ and ... To date. Once you get back to the 30s then it's just patent numbers.

I am not fully understanding letter on the post 2000. I don't see an A or B. To the left of the word ZIPPO, there is an l. I don't know if that is L in alphabet or a slash that Mark882 is speaking of in his comment.

HI everyone heres how the dates work on Zippos ,,DOTS ONE dot means old as there is more dots it is newer SLASHES it is the same way I have collected Zippos for 30 years and I have ones with a serial number on the bottem I have a 1958 zippo never used in the box,,whatever you do DO NOT send it to be fixed it is worth more with the original insert a collector will want it that way I never send mine back to be fixed working or not,,AND do not leave flints in them it will carode and get stuck then you will never get it out,,take flint out when not in use,,i have over 50 Zippos in my collection and a lot of other lighters that were made in the usa that are not made anymore,,have a great day and thanks HAPPY BIDDING

First of all, ALL of you guys are AWESOME with your knowledge on Zippo lighters. I never knew any of this stuff! And now makes me want to look for them when I go to Yard sales, Flea Mkts. This is all good to know. My dad used a Zippo all his life, he passed away in 1996. EVERY time I hear the lid open on one, and the smell of the fluid, Daddy comes back to me. I may just have to start collecting them now, lol. Thank you guys for ALL the info.

I think all 3 of mine have the flints in them! Guess I need to remove them. My 2 ladies ( smaller Harley Davidson) 05 and 07, I have not used in a while, I use a Bic, lol, I need to fuel up and use or take the flints out. Thank you for this info, Now I am really gonna start looking for them and Kinda wish I had not listed this one! But, hope the winner enjoys it!!!
