fresh out of the garden with a salt shaker [Ok, these days it's sea salt] and a pocket knife...one of the traditions from my grandfather I still maintain, or cooked up with some parsnips, carrots and a touch of onion with maple glazed chicken, you just can't beat the wholesome, traditional flavor of turnips.
