I dont think chuck is trying to be mean, just concerned. I think sometimes people get burned on listia and then from then on they are very cautious of what they bid on.

Actually, if I may comment on mightybob's questions, an external hard drive should recognize on a mac as well. It is the same as plugging in a jump drive. So yes, should definitely work on a Mac

When your computer is full of personal pictures, videos or documents, it takes up a lot of space. Most people use the external hard drive as a back-up. So in case anything happens to your computer and it crashes or has a virus, you'll have saved all of it in your external back up drive. You won't lose all your important documents...as long as you back up your computer regularly. Some people will store their documents, pictures, etc. in the back-up drive so that they can remove it from their personal computer to free up space. I've only used this computer as a back-up and not as a storage space. I hope this answers your question. I'm not very computer savvy either.

The map made you look sooo much closer!!!LOL!I was wondering, would this item work with Dish receiver?I am looking for an external hard drive so that I can store more movies and such.

Hi summerbuddy,
I honestly don't know if it works with a dish receiver. I've never stored movies. I used it mainly to store photos and documents and even then I barely used it. I know it has 500GB which is a lot of storage, but weather or now it takes a dish receiver I don't know. Sorry.

I can accept concealed cash, but would prefer paypal because it's safer for YOU. I'd hate to have cash lost in the mail, but if you're okay with it.

chuck132,,,I try to answer questions whenever I get the chance...couldn't get to a computer iimmediately for a couple of days because I had to work....so patience is needed. I couldn't comment on 4/1 because I wasn't near the item to make sure I have the correct answers. AND I haven't responded to two comments...NOT half a dozen. Please remember that people have lives and not everyone sits in front of the computer watching listia all day for comments. Again...I try my best o answer as quickly as possible and am still slowly learning about listia. I shouldn't need to defend myself. Comments like yours makes me NOT want to participate.

I see U checked into Listia on 4/1 and haven't bothered to respond to the half dozen comments on your auction.
This does not sit well as far as instilling confidence in U as a responsible Listia
Communication is a large part of what we do here and with an experience level of 9 and feedback level of 1 you're going to have to inprove if U expect your auctions to bring maximum bids
Oh and Welcome to Listia

How does this connect and will it connect to ANY computer/laptop? Would this make a computer that has a very small Hard Drive faster?
Apr 1st, 2011 at 9:50:44 PM PDT by
Original
@blondy54541...this connects with any computer or laptop with a USB 2. And No it does not make a small drive faster...it is a backup system...meaning it just saves your data in case your computer crashes.
