In original box with instructions, adapter, remote, VGA and audio cables. This worked fine for me, turning my CRT into a TV but with snow from a Verizon FIOS TV output. Maybe the Verizon signal is weak, as the instructions suggest and maybe Comcast or a regular antenna is better.

There are such things as signal amplifiers. I tried one, costing $30. It improved the snow but did not get rid of it. This machine apparently lacks a signal amplifier.

A neat thing though is the included S-cable which hooks from your PC's VGA out to the item. It allows you to switch with the included remote, from your TV to you computer. The computer output is as clear as a bell, no problems there.

I would see this as something to experiment with rather than a sure fire solution to watching TV on your monitor and being able to switch between TV and computer.
