That would ruin it, water would get into the motor and it will seize up. I had one of these exact ones---and you can get the water out....the picture shows the reservoir top off...just unplug and tip it on its side so the water goes into the sink.......this did not hurt mine, so that I could clean it.

You could put it in a plastic bag and seal it with tape and mail it. You will definitely get more bids if you are willing to ship it .

Okay so since this is used it has water in the reservoir. I googled how to get it out and it says you can't so if I were to ship it, it may leak the water and get damaged. I'm going to have to change to local pick up. :(
