your earring appear to be gold, and since they are doublets, this means the top opal is cement to a lesser base and sold as doublets. Mine are not doublets, triplets or treated in any way. Au Natural the only way

This is a rare black opal,it's double sided. needs to have a small amount of repolishing, and its value will go through the roof. Estimated value after polishing $600-1000.00. I am a self taught gemologist, Bid on it you will not regret it,then have it set in a solid gold swivel setting so you can flip it over for a different look. Most opals are 1 sided, get 2 sided you have a rare one

check out gemporia.com also on tv as rockstv. Everything they have is genuine but some things are treated but they do say what treatments each gem has if any. I have gotten so many things there. I learned a lot from The Gem Shopping Network too but I only was able to buy one thing. I have bought an entire collection of gemstone jewelry from rockstv and gemporia.com. I really love everything of yours. Very generous. Thanks.
