THE HISTORY~

I got this from an estate I took care of. Actually she was an elderly woman at least in her 70's and she had several. I have owned them myself for 20 years. I might be auctioning more later ....I STILL HAVE 3 LEFT !!!.

I had them on a chain hanging across my vanity along with other beautiful old pieces or mementos. It is a lovely idea ;)

I personally don't know too much about these keys but a wonderful Listian in my last auction posted this about them "This style key was for furniture usually. Like an Armoire or Cabinet. Sometimes they were used also for a strongbox or trunk. Circa 1890's. "
