I have searched and searched and cannot find zoning for this particular plant, all that I can find is that it will not flower as well in overly hot weather. I've already got these planted so I hope they work in my 104 degree TN summer!

oh thanks, didn't mean for you to have to go thru all that! hhhmmm.... I wonder if you put them in pots and brought them in to a sunny window during the heat if they would bloom?? I know what ya mean though, East Texas here!

NO! they DO NOT like to be transplanted! I'd hate for you to waste such pretty plants, just to have them die on you. You should seed them directly in the ground and they'll do just fine. And I didn't mind doing the research, it was interesting. I'm kind of a nerd like that. Happy Bidding!

NIGELLA DAMASCENA

( RANUNCULACEAE ) – LOVE IN A MIST

These charming, old-fashioned, hardy annuals have been cultivated since the late sixteenth century. Some common names include: love-in-a-mist and fennel flower. They are a relative of the buttercup, and belong to a genus of about 20 species native to the Mediterranean region.
The seeds and leaves are aromatic and have been used in eastern countries by both cooks and physicians, and used in India to prevent moth damage to clothing. Love-in-a-mist readily self-seeds, and is likely to pop up in unexpected parts of the garden.
