Does this actually charge the phone or if the phone is dead does it just keep a charge to the phone in general tell you can get to a power source?thanks

I am sure that it will last you for the time being, but i doubt you can keep using this as a main source to charge your electronic. For example, it would be very usefull to camp with! :)
