The birds are porcelain. They are department 56. They light up when you put a light in them, such as lights from a strand of Christmas lights.

Hello where and how do they light up? Can you provide a picture of them lit in a darkened room? I'm presuming they are battery operated. What size and how many? Thank you

There are two. They are approx 1 3/4" tall. They light up when placed on lights, such as a strand of Christmas lights.
