The color is amazing Debby. But as I told you, feeling that I have been greedy with these, and i want others to have one of these beautiful agate slices. Besides, being of the male gender type, I'm not a mother. Although I have been called a mother something or other before. LOL. Guess I missed the survey about dying or not dying Geodes and other stones . I personally don't care for dyed stone - like a Howlite dyed and pretending to be Turquoise... ICK! But maybe that is just me! I personally don't think the gems like it very much either but you do what you gotta do honey! Just remember, truthiness is a good thing! Good luck to ya!

Fire agate? Debby, you know that is not a Fire Agate - it is very thin Geode slice that has been dyed an unnatural color. Pretty? Yes!! Would it look awesome hanging in a window to catch the sun? YES! But please tell folks what it actually is instead of building up to something it is not. It a Geode slice that you dyed or it came that way when you purchased it. Truthiness is a good thing my friend! :-)

I am terribly sorry that you tried to tell people this was a Fire Agate and that I pointed out that it is NOT, just a dyed Geode slice. If that hurt your feelings, well then I just don't know what to say! And throwing meaningless titles at me proves nothing except that you a bit full of yourself! You don't know jack about me, about my education OR the illnesses I have to deal with... Maybe it was your "meds" but all I know is one day you adored and loved me and acted like my best friend in the whole world and the next day you attacked my watchers and laughed at them for NO visible reason at all! Hi!! Looked for you no the The American Geological and the Utah Geological Association sites but didn't see your name anywhere. I too am a member of several rock hound clubs and various associations... Doesn't make me (or YOU) special, just means we paid dues to join a club, just like any other civilian can. LLOL!!

No Debby I don't think I was being rude at all but you certainly just were!! Sorry if I urged you to be more truthful about your "products" but why wouldn't you just be truthful in the first place?! And it has NOTHING to do with me. I simply don't believe what comes our of your mouth. Your stories don't match up from day to day and I think you are scamming folks with your fanciful tales. You PAY someone to bring them to you and we both know it! Trying to get bids by exaggerating an illness you may or may not have is a really mean thing to do... and so is misleading folks about your sources. Debby, you called it a Fire Agate in your reply to Darcy123 and then went on and on about chalcedony, which didn't answer her question either. I know it's a dyed Geode slice and YOU know it's a dyed Geode slice and it would be great if you admitted to your watchers that it is a dyed Geode slice and nothing more. A lot of people like these because they DON'T KNOW they are dyed - they think it is natural and are amazed at the colors. I just feel like honesty is the best policy and that your bidders should know they are getting, whether that is me or someone else. You do realize that you can buy these up all day long just about anywhere for a buck or so, right??? So please, just be honest about what they are and accept the real price for what they are worth and don't try to play it up as something it is not. I don't feel like that is too much to ask for and I'm sorry if my comment ticked you off.... but you know what I am saying is true.

It's a Geode slice and may be chalcedony or agate or jasper... It's was a beautiful gift from nature until you sliced them up and triple dipped them in dye, now it's a cheap souvenir. My opinion of course, you are free to disagree. But not free to mislead Listia members as to what it really is just to get high bids. Sorry.

How do you dye the agates these florescent colors? Why do you dye them such bright colors? I think they are pretty such as nature made them... Don't you too?
