I'm not understanding you, you upgraded??

Trying to use this disk to upgrade two computers will not work because Microsoft rigged all there disk so it will only allow you to install it on one computer and to use it on more them one you will have to either buy another disk with a key code or call Microsoft and buy a key code that's close if not the same as buying another disk.. point is Microsoft all ways gets there money

first of all, I'm using Windows 8 now. you see, people use this term called "upgrading" when they transfer their technology use to later generation products.

second of all, are you familiar with the COMMEMORATIVE edition of Windows 7? they issue these to VIP customers, mostly in the form of gifts. in my case, it was because I did some modeling for their Windows 7 ad campaign.

From what I understand, this means the software should be able to reinstall on a new computer. For instance, if my computer were to die while running the software, then I'd need to reinstall on another using the same disks and product key.

You may need to use my name as the license owner, but theoretically it should work.

just to be clear, I bought a new computer with Windows 8 (upgraded). then I contacted Microsoft to disassociate my license with my previous computer, so that the product key can be used again.

OK I think I understand. I one the Toshiba satellite laptop in great condition.
windows 8 last month for 381,260 credits and it is just sitting here. I can not understand how to use it. I barely got past setting up my email. I reset it back to factory setting, that took all day and I don't know why I didn't even set it wirelessly or have my email address in it. I had to give up my windows XP I had for 12 years.

So will this work on a Toshiba windows 8?? I at least I'm able to understand windows 7. Would it work over 8 because I don't think windows 8 will come off, but the computer will be at factory setting.

If I can't get windows 7 on the Toshiba 8 I will have to relist it.

Thank You for your help.

I'm not sure if this will work with the Toshiba because these are upgrade discs, not installation discs. therefore they are designed to transform from XP, WTC.
