Jay...a bug out bag is, something everyone should have made up in case of emergencies. I should contain enough essentials to last up to 72 hrs, but others are done up for 24 hrs, or even longer. It should contain, water, food, medical supplies, something to use for lighting, heat, and shelter. Most people use a backpack, or a small suitcase (rollabout or standard) or even tote box. They a cost near nothing or as elaborate as you want. Preppers are people who prepare for emergencies, be they natural disasters, or manmade (such as wars). Noone knows what the future has in store, but it is always smart to be prepared n matter what may come. Hope this explains a BOB....if I can answer any other questions, ask me...or firewalker82...he's a prepper too. And married to my niece :)
