Description

The listing, Japanese Exchange Doll Looking For A New American Home. •Tasukete kudasai~Please Help. has ended.

I have a very old Japanese doll. As you can see from the photos she is a little dirty around the edges. The base needs repainting and her hair has a spot where the cotton is showing through. She stands 14" high. The detail on her is amazing and she only needs a new loving American home to take her in and give her a revamp. With the few things that is wrong with her, there is so much more that's right. Check out the paint job on her shoes. Amazing. So if you know you can take on this challenge and make her like new, please do so. I don't have the talent to get her where she needs to be. And as always with my items..... Free Shipping.

Aw poor baby, she needs some love is all. She has great personality. I don't know if I can do anything with her pedestal since that's lacquer but she is just fine and very fixable for me anyway. Hugs.
Namaste,
Stacey.

I think I got her at a Garage Sale. But she has been in storage for over 10 years. She is a little dusty and like I said, needs some work but the underline base of her is still excellent. I sincerely hope that if you win her, she will once again be amazing. Good luck.

This doll is of a Maiko. I can tell by the outfit and hair ornaments she's wearing. As a collector, I have one of these dolls, but it's of a samurai. After doing research on my doll, I learned that it was a very limited run back in the 1960's by the Yamaha car dealers only in Japan. Are there any stickers on the bottom of the base?

There's an area that looks like there might have been a sticker at one point as it's a little sticky but it's no longer there. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

This is a great one but please read entire listing and look at all the photos so you know what problems she has. She is far from perfect but she is unique and very pretty.

That's sad what happened to you. Like, you said your mind blocked out the bad things that happened while with your father. Our bodies are well made to.protect us from unpleasant things, painful things, etc. I'm glad that your Mom never gave up on finding you. Nothing stopped her from getting you back. The fact that she took you to Japan to keep you safely away from your father. She's a great woman and you are both blessed, strong yet flexible. =)

So very true. She passed away two years ago from brain cancer after beating it 3 times. She was an amazing and very strong woman. I was blessed to have had her as a mom.
