HERE IS THE STORY...You can believe it or not :)

I was walking by my Listia room the other day and I heard some murmuring in my make up box. I leaned in to hear more! Here is what I heard...

HARD CANDY - "I am so tired of being stuffed in this cardboard box aren't you?"

AZIZA - "Yeah, we are never gonna get a chance to strut our stuff on Listia"

I too love listing and have taken some losses....Listia has changed a LOT since it first started. I remember when a "big listing" was 30k credits, some amazing stuffed purses for 50k....seems a rarity now.....but, that's how things happen I spose.

My love of creating is what I'll be sharing for a while now. I'm working on an afghan, hat & bootie set for my most recent winner

Yeah, it gives me a chance to explore my very limited creative side. I have met some AMAZING PEOPLE. I know I get good deals too sometimes, so when things don't go for what I hoped. Lol it can be therapeutic if you know hiw to do it and not go broke. In the few months of starting listia ive spent 400 on shipping maybe more and then about 600 on brand new extras and wrapping n shipping supplies. And I have only gotten one amazing pallette from too faced. And lil things here and there...not worth it to me. I could have bought hundreds of pallettes n makeup for what ive spent to give stuff to others :'( but I disnt know how to do it. So yea I am done unfortunately and I know lots of others who are quitting too. Sucks cuz ive met some amazing people here who ive become friends with ...ive also met some very mean nasty people. Lol

Yes, I have spent a lot of money too. (shhh don't tell these guys) In fact I just broke down and bought a Naked palette from Sephora today Naked 2 that I am considering listing. I found some auctions that they went for over 100,000 and some that went for just over 50,000 which would be a total loss, so I am terrified to list it haha. I have gotten a lot of wonderful things that I needed and would have spent $$ to get. I have gotten some good deals. I have auctions I have taken a loss on...many...however to me it all comes out in the wash. I only bid on auctions that shipping is free because I always offer free shipping. Yes, the people I have met have been an invaluable experience and I am sure if I wasn't doing this I would be spending money some other way. I am sorry to see you go. I list new make up but I also list other items that are in new condition but that are just taking up space. Sometimes this helps balance out the loss. Maybe that will help you too :)

Yea I need to spend time with my son. His heart is pretty healthy now but life stabs you in the back when youre not looking and your life changes forever in an instant. God forbid he have another heart surgery or his heart fails..I cant handle watching my son be cut open again :(

I understand how Amy feels. I have put up auctions every weekend since I started Listia, however I didn't this weekend because of the very poor turn out and I was considering quiting because unless the auctions I have up take a complete turn around the losses will probably be a couple hundred dollars.....

THEN...Someone like you comes a long "reddred01" and reminds me that there are more important things. I too have met some of the most AMAZING ladies. I wish I could list all their names here. When my Pink auction was up, it was one of the most rewarding and amazing experiences of my life and I met some of the most amazing brave beautiful women through it.

If someone can be encouraged or 2 people can be brought together to help each other on one of my auctions. Well...that is priceless and gives me plenty of reason to keep doing this.

I know all to well about hospital stays I myself have had a few surgeries since I started listia and my babies had to have two surgeries as well she was born with a open pore/cyst in her female area this last time it got so infected it looked like an peanut m&m was there. Its heart breaking when ur babies go thru these experiences I always wished she never had to experience this stuff at such a young age. But we women are strong and will make it threw whatever is put in front of us because our children are always a miracle no matter what :) praying for u ladies going thru hard times

Bless your heart sweet sophia! I will be praying for your family as well. That is one thing I love about Listia vs Ebay or some other site like that. This is a forum where you can actually meet and get to know people and a place where people can get support if they need it. Its funny I just ended a "Pink" auction that had pages of wonderful ladies sharing and supporting each other. I never put this auction up thinking about it doing the same, but I AM HAPPY IT IS. It's crazy. I don't mind giving stuff away, I really enjoy it BUT, taking a $70 loss that is something different. The credits as they stand right now don't even cover what I paid for the Stila palette, not to mention the med flat rate box that is going to cost $12 and all the other palettes in here. I may have to start doing only tiered auctions or start the bids at higher. I don't know or maybe STOP BUYING NEW STUFF TO LIST....LOLLLLLL. Don't like to be negative nelly though, hopefully things will turn around these last few hours :)
