Description

The listing, 5"x5" 72 Pc Fabric Charms -Sewing, Quilting, Crafting -Your Choices of Patterns -Purples & Greens! has ended.

72 piece 5"x5" Fabric Charm lot. All cotton and cotton blends.

Your Choice from among the Purples & Greens I have available. Or I can make you up a lot...of all one color family, or a mix to fit your preferences from this lot.

Only one lot of this sort (of these particular charms pictured) will be up at a time so that everything shown is available to choose from, and I will edit photos when I put up future lots to show any patterns that are no longer available.

There are a few patterns with very few charms and a few with many. As you can see in the photos I have added each pattern's count. I took some pics inside, and some outside to get a better view. The # of the pattern to refer to it, and the amount of each pattern are in the first picture (1. X3= There are 3 of the pattern #1).

I always enjoy adding some extras when I can (and for fabric, I certainly can :)

>> GIN will get you ALL of the charms in this lot! That's 332 5"x5" Cotton Charms. Or the equivalent of OVER 4.5 of these charm lots! As a bonus, I will have a choice of extras to choose from...but I have to go through my stash and figure out what I will offer *g*

Our 2 year old fed our PS3 pennies, now it no longer works (we've taken it apart and cleaned it...I guess Play Stations get really bad indigestion *g*), so I'm up to trade the thrill and chance for more credits, for the ability to get the kids a replacement quickly.<<

What is a charm? Is it the same as a quilt square?

I could be wrong, but I am not a heavy quilter. In my understanding a quilt square is similar to if not the same as a quilt block. A square shaped sewn patterned section. Either a piece of a whole, or by itself (similar to granny squares). A charm is a small pre-cut (usually measured, as far as I've ever seen, square) piece of fabric. You can use them to make quilt squares, quilts, or other crafts that are suited for.

Why is your Gin so high?

Because it includes all 332 5"x5" charms plus extras included. Similar to my 4"x4" lot, but the 4x4 lot included less charms and smaller charms for it's GIN price. And generally 4"x4" charms are less popular on Listia than 5"x5" charms so I had to factor that lower "value" into that other auction's GIN amount.

vickispeckron1: I am also basing the GINs on the average ending auction values I *know* I can expect normally for the types of lots. Between my past listings ending values and others I have watched on Listia. I based the GIN on the whole "Lot" amount...so based on what I know I can look forward to for 4 lots of this size...including the extra .7th of a lot's worth as an extra along with the bonus. I am fairly sure that's not quite how GINs are treated...it seems like most often they are set at much higher than a reasonably expected value for items...sort of wishful thinking. But I like to keep my wishful thinking at "if I have successfully satisfying auctions for all of these items...not amazingly high ones...what would the total be" and keep my GIN around there. Like in cash auction sites...I prefer for my GIN to be based more on an acceptable "sold" value based on past sales.

I hope that helps explain my logic behind GIN pricing (and didn't just make it more confusing).
