These are really nice welder's goggles that you will find useful when you get tired of bothering with the cumbersome full face shield/hood/helmet. Since they aren't bulky as a full welding helmet, they can be stored easily in your hand tool box for emergency jobs on the road or what have you. Not recommended in areas where explosion or other high risk is involved.
NOT RECOMMENDED for solar eclipse observation, although they would be better than nothing. Ask your doctor or health care professional for advice. Approximately 10X's more opaque than sunglasses.
They will come New In Package, ruggedly constructed of heavy rubber, plastic, glass, and elastic band. Built to last for years under normal daily conditions, e.g.. not to include being chewed up by a pet, or welded by accident, or run over, etc.

Do not use goggles as safety glasses using the clear lens
