Description

The listing, 1600s Madonna and Child Silver Denar of hungary has ended.

This is a coin that I bought on ebay. I don't have much info on it other than what was included on the receipt that came with it. I have bought and sold alot of ancient coins and this looks legit. It is partially cleaned. One part of a word I can make out is "PATRONA" I think. It's actually in pretty good shape with decent details. Please check my pictures to see for yourself. The reverse appears to have a crest of sometime. The front looks like leaves or something similar and a crown above it. Here is exactly what the receipt says. " MEDEIVAL 1600s MADONNA AND CHILD SILVER DENAR OF HUNGARY" Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks

If I won this auction, and got it tested at a coin shop, and it turned out not being authentic, could I send it back for a refund?

certainly.....I would make sure you take it to someone who specializes in ancient coins though.

We where just talking about the Donar at a party I was at last weekend. If you verify it is real it would help. There are So many counterfeit out their. It is hard to bid on BUT I will bid because I also collect So I am still good

If this is truly denir once dinars get on the world trade market they will be worth serious cash. right now it takes 1200 dinars to equal one of our dollars... but if you watch fox news and msnbc or wolf blitzer there all telling you buy dinars now... i bought a million dollars worth of diars 8 months ago, just sitting on them as an investment!!! once they go on the world trade and go up even 25 cents im cashing in... that 1200 dollar investment for a million dinars will be worth 250k american!!!!

I have heard good things about them, we used to find stacks of dinars searching houses in between layers in stacks of blankets. Funny though a huge stack usually only equalled a few dollars US.
