The listing, Set of 4 Vintage Tiara Sweet Avocado Pear Sunshine Yellow Tumblers has ended.

Oh my, these look so refreshing and are so gloriously elegant. Here's a set of 4 footed tumblers 3-3/8" x 5-1/4" (10 oz) by Tiara Glass. These are that gorgeously decadent Sweet Avocado Pear pattern in Lemon Yellow and all are in excellent condition.

They are perfect for summertime beverages and although they look regal, they are sturdily built and a handsomely comfortable shape!

PLEASE MEET ME HALFWAY (after all there are 4 pieces) on shipping and contribute $6.00 to me via PayPal (I'll consider other methods if for some reason you don't use PayPal - but it is just easier) - and this is one of those rare times that I'm going to offer a firm GIN on these, so if the suspense of winning the auction is going to prey on your mind too much, well, just go ahead and get them now. You'll stop tossing and turning and get a good night's sleep.

My Listian friend rickeisenhauersr gave me more information regarding these on my other Tiara glass auction:

These were made by the Indiana Glass company in 1974. This is the only time they made these in yellow and collectors love them because yellow was not an original color. These would be a nice catch for anyone.

I was a Tiara dealer back in the 80's. They made many pretty items, the Sweet Pear pattern is one of them. Remember, these are not dishwasher safe, hand wash only.

Tiara did make some nice things - I believe I like the traditional Sandwich pattern best. But what you say is good to point out - with quality vintage glassware, preserve the integrity and prevent damage by handwashing regardless of what those dishwasher detergents may claim. I guess that would go for good china and flatware as well. One time, I washed the color right off of one of mom's candy jars that I didn't realize was transparent painted - oops!

I don't know what these later yellow ones go for but in my book the early pink one goes for $195.00 a piece and the early green one go for $310.00 a piece. So maybe someone might be getting a bargain here.

Oh my - when they do a limited run on colors this is what happens! I hope someone takes advantage of the GIN - but whatever way it goes is alright by me. I've gotten many bargains and that's what keeps auctions fun - hope you can bid :-)!!!

That's the light green and the light pink . The new green are darker and the new pink are almost an orange color. So keep this in mind when shopping for this color glass.

Yes! Someone I knew had the light pink and it was lovely. My sister-in-law jokes that I can spot one good piece in a mountain of junk. Hah - a learned skill from eons of antiquing. Thanks for good info!
