Adjective: Very well known:
Noun: A traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but unauthenticated.

I believe the latter to be true in this case (unauthenticated). LOL People are abusing the term "listia legend" for higher bids. I don't think any of us in the swap have ever used terms to up our bids on any of our auctions. Tweety has even said in the past she gets less bids because of the chats. I think the listia legends are trying to add new people to their group but missing the point. It should be an ELITE group of people who have been on Listia for a long period of time, are well known and have excellent costumer service. I could respect a legend like that. Maybe listia will make a new badge. LOL

Has anyone won any auctions lately? There's some kind of new thing going on with shipping. I won an auction and this was at the top of the page:

Starting June 1st, sellers will no longer accept addresses you provide in emails or messages, and saved shipping addresses will become the only method for providing sellers with your shipping information.

Until June 1st, feel free to begin using saved shipping addresses to save time!

Does that mean the swaps are going to have to stop? Since they're only allowing saved shipping addresses? Or that we're going to have to have stuff sent to our houses and then mail them out to the swappees ourselves?!?

Has anyone else tried to "save" a P.O. Box address yet? It doesn't work right, only the name and the city/state/zip show up....the p.o. box # doesn't show up.....is that how it's supposed to look??

I also got some nail polish (GREEN) and I can wait to use it. Also I got two pair of M&M socks. I love my character socks. :)

@erin,
I just listed some honeschooling book on a site called bookmooch. Its where you swap your old books with difrent books. My username is jenjaredjoey (of course, LOL)
i will also be listing some more books next month or maybe some this month, I would have to se how much I have after all my pakcages are mailed off because I till want to take a train to see my dad, :)

Anyway thank you all for bidding on my auctions. My book auctions didn't do as good as I hoped, so I will be listing them in smaller lots or listing them on the book swap site.

Yeah, you get better deals if you're buying your books for Kindle, I've noticed. I think it's due to them not having to buy materials to print the books. So it makes sense.

One thing I've realized since becoming a parent is: you truly do not know the real definition of conflicting emotions or the word bittersweet until becoming a parent. It's probably intensified when becoming a grandparent. :) I thought I'd had conflicting emotions, thought I knew the definition of bittersweet, then becoming a Mother taught me so much. It seems strange to think you can be happy & sad about the exact same thing. Yet, when your child grows a little more, learns something new that is essential in becoming an adult, your heart swells with love, your eyes fill with tears, and your sooo happy through the sadness of the idea that your baby is growing up. CONGRATS to all of you, ANNETTE!!

Not all kindle books are cheaper, and many of the newer books are $9.99 or more, so this is a great deal, and I am loving his new book.

Yep, BFL does suggest eating lots of meat for protein but since we don't really follow any kind of strict plan or diet, we just eat a variety of healthy foods every day. We eat ALOT of beans LOL:) I didn't used to like beans much but they have really grown on me & I really do like them now. I enjoy adding beans to so many things now, things I would've never dreamed of eating! ~ when I eat scrambled eggs, I add a half cup of black beans to two scrambled eggs & top them with some salsa. YUMMY!!

The reason we don't eat meat is bc of all the dangers of it~ too many hormones, viruses, ect. for our family to be taking chances & the organic stuff is way too expensive! Companies are charging us more for how meat SHOULD be sold to us in the first place! It is so rediculous!! And we don't judge others who eat meat bc not everyone is aware of all the dangers. But anyone who would like more info or educational links can PM me anytime!

The one thing we took away from BP's BFL & Transformation is to just be as healthy as you can be & continually educate yourself on eating & staying healthy & feeling your best.
We don't believe there is the perfect "plan" or "diet" but for us we strive for six small meals & snacking throughout the day. Everything healthy of course. Sometimes life does get in the way & we have to make do but we don't beat ourselves up about it. As long as we are always making healthy choices, that's the most important thing in the long-run anyway:) We still go out to eat but now we make better choices & sometimes we even share meals! =D
Once your passion kicks in for a healthier you & a healthier life-style, & you begin to eat healthy foods, you will be shocked at how your tastes change & you no longer "desire" the yucky things you used to eat:) This is when you know you are on the right path & doing right by your body =D

I totally agree. And I have become so pationate about healthy eating too. Pationate enough that the whole family is eating healthy and we all walk together too. I have seen amazing improvements in my sons behavior although his bg is still acting weird. I am feeling awesome and cant wait to go to my next doctors apt.

I eat alot less meat than my family does just because it makes my tummy hurt lately. My one daughter is starting to notice it too. We have steared away from alot of canned items, all white sugar and white flour. We eat a ton of beans now. I put beans in everything. I just got some containers at dollar tree to sort out our beans. We have so many different types of beans.

Each week we make more and more changes, it is just a process and I go with my feelings (i guess that is the best way to say it) as to what changes need to be made next. We have not switched to the six meals a day idea, but I kinda do that naturally. That is one of the ideas that are on my futur plans, but it is not time for that one yet.

I love Bill's new book. I agree so much more with the way he has changed his perspective on things.

We LOVE hearing what everyone else is doing to stay healthy & fit & even what healthy recipes you all are making?? ...anything about your journey to good health, so don't be shy~ SHARE!!! LOL:)

We are planning on trying a recipe to make our own healthy protein bars if anyone is interested, I will post how they turn out??
Anyone have a healthy "tried & true" recipe for a good spinach drink/smoothie??? =D

TY Again everyone for all the well-wishes & good vibes!!!! I am working on an auction to list to include pics for eveyone to see~ I will post the link to it as soon as I get it up & running:)

I am trying to find a substitute for spinach. I am alergic to it. I keep wondering maybe as I change my diet that I might be able to eat it in the future. I can eat tomatoe's now. But I am a bit nervouse to try. It makes my mouth and throat go numb for hours.

This week we are cleaning out the cabinets in our kitchen. We are going to work on replacing all the yucky foods with good foods. The irony of the situation is that we had already planned to do this last week, and I just read about it in the transformation book. So I guess I have already begun my transformation too, just not exactly the way that Bill suggests. But so far pretty darn close. I guess there is a natural progress that one goes through during a change to better health and lifestyle.

Oh I forgot to say, not only do I have my family on board now, but my sister and her kids are working towards it too. They come over every weekend and we all go for a walk together. It is so much fun and healthy.

Okay, I am confused about this new "address" rule~ including where we need to submit the shipping addresses when we have won something?? Anyone want to help me understand it?? LMBO:)

...Does this mean we can not have sellers ship things to our swappers anymore?? ...How many addresses can you have on "file" at once?? ...What if I want to ship one thing to myself & the next thing to my swapper?? ...What if I have two swappers?? LOL:) ...Has Listia said NO to anyone shipping anything elsewhere other than your OWN address?? ...And how is it working for everyone in the swap??

TYSM in advance for any & all info!!! =D
Jun 5th, 2011 at 9:29:07 PM PDT by

You have to wait until Listia verify's that the address is a correct address before you can use it, but then it will work and you can have as many ship to address as you need.

@Annette I have my address and my swappers address saved and have had no problem I have used them both already. They will show up in a list and you just have to click the one you want. I'm not sure how many they will let you store though so I figure if I just change my swappers address each month it will work :)

Punched-Up Iced Tea

We put a few handfuls of fruit (fresh or frozen & semi-thawed) in our magic bullet, give it a few whizzes until it pretty-much resembles baby food LOL:) You can use a blender also.
Sometimes we just mix 1 cp. pineapple juice & 1 cp. mango juice for a tropical iced tea.
Jim's fav is cherry tea. I make it by putting pitted cherries in the magic bullet for only a few whizzes:)
You can pretty-much use ANY fruit you want!!

Oh, & we double this recipe now bc there are four people instead of three.

.

Directions...

INGREDIENTS...

1 & 1/2 cups prepared white iced tea with your choice of sweetner (or regular iced tea works too! Again, with your choice of sweetner.)

2 cups of your favorite fruit juice

.

DIRECTIONS...

1.) In a pitcher, filled with ice, combine the white tea & fruit juice or juices.

2.) Stir well to blend & serve.

3.) Keep refrigerated.

@ cj~ I was wondering the same thing??!! LOL:) The one I saw recently, the seller had less than 40 feedbacks.....

@ JJ~ I get so excited hearing how you & your family are making changes towards a healthier way of living!!! I think the passion is really the key bc without the passion, you don't have the full motivation you need:) And I don't really think all the little steps along the way are a huge importance bc everyone does it differently & I truly believe you learn as you go~ that's what makes the journey & experience SWEETER =) bc you have that excitement & inner passion to "share" what you are "learning" & it looks like you are now sharing your journey wth your family & even your sister & her kids, so that is really GREAT!!!
Jim & I walk also~ mostly early evenings shortly after dinner. We drive to a different neighborhood each time, we park, & then walk. We do this to have new scenery! LOL:) We enjoy doing it this way so much!! It is never the same ho-hum boring trip around the block kind-of thing! LOL:)

Made a fresh jug of peach tea a bit ago & thought since it's been hot lately, that maybe someone would want to make some & try it... you can use any kind of fruit tho, it doesn't have to be peach! LOL:) It's just that peach is my fav!! =D

Recipe below......
