Description

The listing, Cuttlebug Moroccan Look Embossing Folder has ended.

This is a brand new embossing folder from Cricut.com. It's a Cutllebug embossing folder which means quality! It can be used on most embossing machines. This particular folder has small flowers and crosses on it, but the designer giving it almost a Moroccan look. This would look so cute for cards or scrapbooking those special moments. I like to use this type of frame inside the outer oval frame as the thin cut dies from Spellbinders. This folder measures about 5 3/4 inches by about 4 1/4 inches.

If you need some help learning embossing techniques, there are lots of demonstration videos on you-tube and by Tim Holtz on timholtz.com.(Look on the top where it says videos and click. Then go to the right side where it says "diecut/emboss" and click.) Tim likes to use a light sander to gently rub the top of the embossed item to make it pop. Anna Griffin does the same thing, but she likes to also use a brayer and put washable metallic ink in the folder then run it through the embossing machine. Then, just wash off the ink. She also will use an ink pad and just dab the top of an embossed image.

where do you find the cuttlebug folders at? I've tried Hobby Lobby, Michaels, WalMart.......can't find any here.

I order mine off of Cuttlebug.com but I have enough points that for a year I get a discount on them. I did have to pay about $90 for that membership too (and not just points!). So, that's why I can offer them to everyone here. I purchased some for me, but then I purchased others to sell here---at least until my membership runs out!

You are welcome and cuttlebug is easy! You just open it up, lay down the sides. Then, you put the white platform down. Then you make what I call a sandwich. You put down one of the clear rectangles, put your paper inside the embossing folder, put that on top of the clear rectangle. Then, put another clear rectangle on top of that one. Then, crank it through! It's done!

Oh, and I should mention that Teresa Collins' machine (Her machine is called Cut 'n boss) is even simpler. Just open it up and plug it in. You put down one platform. Put your paper in the folder, and press start! It automatically figures out the rest for you and feeds it automatically through the machine. It's kind of like going to an automatic car wash. If you can't find one here on Listia, try hsn.com. I mention that machine because it's the simplest on the market and it helps people with arthritis.

I know!!!! And, I didn't buy mine for that. I purchased mine on the flex-pay plan when it was a lot lower at a today's special. Periodically, Teresa will offer that same machine for almost half that if you watch closely for months! So, save up! Who has $300 to throw away? I certainly don't!

I don't know where you live, so I can't answer that. Go to HobbyLobby.com or JoAnnFabric.com and look at prices. I mention them over Michael's because they will let you actually get a shopping cart there and buy them. It depends on the brand. For cuttlebug, I'd go to cuttlebug.com and you can see the prices of machines and the embossing folders. I personally prefer the Anna Griffin cuttlebug and you just missed her on hsn yesterday. She was selling the maching and folders. So, check cuttlebug.com daily deals and watch. You can often get one on sell, but you'll need to be patient. Anna won't sell her cuttlebug on hsn at a discount for another several months. Check into the price of the machine before you check about the folders. Sometimes folders are included with the machine.
