The listing, Thailand Vintage Metal Belt has ended.

I have had this for many years, but never wore it. I just thought it was something unique and awesome to have. I put it on just to show you what it would look like against black, at least.

There's just hooks to hold it on. I think it may be a belly dancing belt, but I honestly have no idea. I don't know what goes on in Thailand. =)

Material: It looks like it is silver plated over either copper or brass. There's no signs of tarnishing, just spots where the silver coating got taken off.

Length: 35"

Gorgeous belt! I did my best with taking various pictures of the details. Any further questions, etc. just ask! =)

No maker's mark. Just the marking that states "Thailand".

No. Just the engraving "Thailand" is all I've found on it.

does it stay fastened pretty well? does the hook go into another slot or something? I appreciate that you showed a picture of the hook, but it's hard for me to understand how it will hold without slipping out. help, and thank you! :)

It's okay. It's a rare belt. I've never come across anything like it. It doesn't connect, it just sits together. I'm not sure how you would get it to stay connected without having to MacGyver it.

There are slots in the middle of the hooks, so I think something may have gone through there to secure it at one point, but I never saw or knew what. I don't even remember how I got this belt. I've had it for so long.
