Hey cupcake! I'll answer that question for ya! (I have the same bag, it's sitting right next to me )YES the strap is adjustable and I believe this bag is perfect for a middle school. (I'm 17 now, but I would have loved it in middle school. This is a vera bradley "hipster" in the color "Limes up" if you want to see a review of the bag there are a bunch on YouTube just search, "vera bradley hipster review." :)

I'm sorry, I use my iPad for this app, it usually gives me the update option but for some reason it is not there. The last picture however is the inside of the purse. I will try again tomorrow to get the picture.
