FREE: Pawprints Embossing Folder with GIN

The only way this can be used without a machine is if you do an old fashioned rubbing. In other words, take a piece of paper and lay it over the folder. Then take a pencil (like a colored pencil) or charcoal pencil and rub it across. Walmart used to sell the green Cricut machines for about $37, but as I understand it, they don't do that any more. But, other stores still sell the Provocraft green cuttlebug fairly inexpensively. However, some of the cheaper machines break fairly easily. I have an Anna Griffin cuttlebug (gold color) which I love and haven't had any problems with. But, I think you pay for what you get! Oh, some people have tried using a brick or rolling pen to try to emboss, but I don't think it works well that way. You can use an embossing tool (a stylus), but it's very hard to use on these and I would not recommend it. The embossing tool works better on the brass templates. People with arthritis should not use the handcrank embossing machines in my opinion. They do make the machines that feed the items through. I wouldn't even do the embossing using the rubbings either if you suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, or gout. I am not suggesting you suffer from these, but am mentioning it because of questions I've had in the past about it. But, if you want to make cards for Senior for example, the embossing folders are the way to go. I'd get an electric machine for those. It's totally worth the money. The number of characters I have on the initial listing is limited and people do keep writing to ask this question over and over. You might also go to provocraft and cricut and check it out too. You can also do a search on Cuttlebug. If you are interested in different types of embossing machines, I would be willing to recommend several different other brands especially if you want a machine that automatically will feed your folders through.
