This is a Brand New, 925 stamped, sterling silver flower ring that has hearts inside some of the flower pedals, 2 of the pedals to be exact! It is so pretty & great sized, but not too big or clunky & is light weight, so it doesn't bother you on your finger. It's much nicer in person... You just HAVE to see it!!

I got one of these from a different seller on here and it was marked 925 but turned out to be only thinly plated. When i got it it was super light. So I was wondering if this ring was similar?

I have no way of telling if it's similar to yours or not without having them to compare unfortunately. All sterling silver is 'plated' technically. That's what the 925 represents... it's actually 92.5% sterling silver over the top of a stronger metal cuz sterling by itself would just smash in your hands. It's really delicate. Although, sterling plated usually means a thin plate of sterling & sterling silver by itself usually means a thicker coating lol.

Usually the heavier the piece, the more non-sterling it is since sterling doesn't weigh much. Pawn shops are big on weight & if your sterling 'weighs' then it's probably fake or plated according to them.

Huh, I learn something new every day. I thought sterling silver .925 was mixed with the other tiny bit of metal? But I do know that the 925 is almost all silver and there is a tiny amount of another metal cause otherwise silver wouldvl be to soft to do anything with. And the platrd rings r a main metal not silver with a small amount of silver coated over the metal. This is the same exact ring that I received here on listia from a different seller. It was a real light ring too. Anyway thanks for all the info and i love ur actions.
