Yes. It takes beautiful photos. I used it for a photography class. It has 16 megapixels.

It has a battery that you put in the bottom where the memory card goes. It has a charger, and the battery life is excellent.

Any trouble with the zoom lens extending? I had one once and the extension (zoom) broke after a few troublesome noises.

refurbished means its be used just fixed by manufacturer and at 27,000 credits not worth it for 1 its a nikon low end camera second its refurbished sorry lost my interest thats a waste of credits and I know about camera's

Budweiners1.......HIGHLY disagree.....I also know lots about cameras, in fact I OWN this one!!! The pics are AWESOME, the Video HIGH Quality, Battery Life is excellent!! SOME FOLKS don't want a 500.00 camera...I have one and this one actually takes as good as if not better pics!! I have 5 cameras, take pics for a living and love, LOVE this camera.....if ur not interested, don't trash her auction.....your comment IMO is way out of line!!!!

its OK I`m bidding.I just wanted to know why the term was there.Its good to hear all sides. I looked it up & there are alot of refurbs on ebay. & in camera stores it seems. so it seems acceptable to me.
