The listing, Heart-Shaped “Love” Pillow Embroidery Kit Complete with Floss & Lace has ended.

I am pleased to offer for auction on Listia today this embroidery kit which, when completed, will make a lace-edged pillow which will roughly measure 12” by 12” at it’s longest and widest points. Included in this kit are two white cotton fabric panels, one of which is printed with a pattern of a flowered border and the word “Love” in cursive. Also included are the embroidery flosses to complete the project, the lace to go around the edge of the completed pillow, and instructions.

Sorry but could I ask a stupid question what is the difference between embroidery and cross stitch I have done a lot of embroidery but never tried cross stitch.

That's not a stupid question at all! I think cross stitch is a certain type of embroidery. In cross stitch you do the whole think with little Xs, whereas embroidery like this piece is more free, you use a variety of stitches and knots. Does that make any sense at all? :-)

Yes I have embroidery since I was a young girl but never tried cross stitch I always thought you had to count and I know I would mess that up. lol thanks so much for your answer.

Yes Thank you, I was afraid that there was a lot of counting in cross stitch so many squares one way and so many another and I knew I didn't want to do that I would stick with embroidery . Fanned Watching and bidding thanks again.

Gosh yes, counted cross stitch can drive you nuts. I used to do it a lot and if you lose your place you can get totally messed up. Embroidery is do much more forgiving :-). Thanks, fanned you!
