The type of phlox I have is Phlox paniculata 'Sherbet Cocktail'. I have 8 seeds from my plant. I have been told that these won't be 'true' to the parent plant. However, I have not tried these to see what color they will come out. It could be interesting! I'm going to plant some myself to see what the color/colors might be. I always like surprises and it could be something really special! So, if you're up for the challenge and want to try these, I have 8 freshly harvested seeds.
Keep in the refrigerator until you're ready to start the seeds. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost in Spring. Lightly cover with soil and keep moist until sprouts appear. Transplant into a well drained, sunny location. Mine have been doing well in a raised bed.
Forms good size clumps producing multi-flowering stems. Cut back old flowers as they finish flowering to encourage new flowers and prolong the flowering season.
