*fingers crossed* I'll be sure to ship with a tracking number, too. A lady I sent one to a couple weeks ago claimed that she never received it, and I have USPS searching for it. I have been noticing a decline in the reliability of our country's postal service.

That is the most unfortunate story. Geez. I was thinking of putting a couple of more auctions up but they told me it was five dollars for tracking numbers ( my envelope maybe? I only heard 5 dollars). That is just a little too much depending on what you are sending. Anyways, I hope you find the missing book and am real sorry you have had to endure such hassles.

At my local Post Office, tracking is only $1.05 extra. That is a fixed price for all packages. They all get tracking numbers, but you have to pay that fee if you want to be able to track it, too. Otherwise it is just for their use only. I would look on the USPS website to find out further information.

I was really tight on cash at the time I sent that lady's package, otherwise I would have paid the mere $1.05 extra. It's a shame when you have to really penny pinch.

When I went in there I thought it was only going to be a dollar. The man talked to fast for my anxiety. Will definitely have to ask questions, This has been a fun hobby but I'd like to send things out more. Penny Pinching is a shame but everyone seems to have to do it anymore. Tough times we live in...Thank you for the post office tips. Most appreciated. You are a cool dude/ette.
